Did Da Vinci really was a true Renaissance Man?

This picture tells me a lot of things about Leonardo. This tells me that he was a greatest artist in the city of Florence at that time period and he started to build or sketch his own inventions, for example like this flying machine that Leonardo drew. This tells me that sketching inventions are one of his hobbies when he gets bored. :P

Fillipo Brunelleschi The Risk Taker

Brunelleschi was a risk taker by building this dome because at that time they didn't have the skill or technology to build such a dome. The people of Florence were praying to god that someday someone will solve this big missing piece of the puzzle. The cathedral couldn't be seen as completed without this dome. People saw It as impossible because it's width was massive and there was no way to support it while building. They couldn't set up scaffolding around or through the cathedral to support this dome. This was such a risk taking event as one miscalculation could bring the whole building down. Some even call this a 'miracle design of engineering'. If Brunelleschi had backed out from this plan only because he wanted to play safe, the Dome might not even exist till now. By taking the risk, the possibility of failure, he has built this wonderful landmark in Florence as the greatest architecture and tallest building. Brunelleschi went with his decision by going against the odds and went down history. Even the smallest , riskiest decision could change the faith of a country or person. Sometimes I think its worth betting on what you believe in the most.

Where new idea's come from?

I think that we, people discover new idea's by visual, knowledge and etc. It is very interesting for us to be inspired of something, for example if a scientists found a new species they will get over exasperated and study all night doing so. I believe we us humans are very interesting because we visualize every seconds, even now we are visualizing something that we don't know! For example visualizing what should we write, play (computer games or other games), lastly, homework... If we don't visualize something then we are weird because, we were born this way we got the ability that no other objects, animals and other livings that on Earth don't have this. In the future that we could use this ability to save our environment, make the world a better place and have a better eco-system.

What Is Your Favorite Short Story Unit

Over our studies about the Short Story Unit, one of my most favorite story was about "The Sniper." It really attracted me because, it talks about loss, confusion, and civil war. The author expressed and explained the feelings that the sniper was having when he cursed the war. I hope someday that I can get another chance of reading that book for myself in the future.
